Windshield Wisdom

Some advice for the road

Keep the glass clean!

If you can’t see clearly, you can’t see completely.

That’s some good advice for the physical & the spiritual

Recently writing some devotions from Mark 12 & 13, when Jesus was talking about the end, I began to see again the importance of seeing

If we can’t hear we won’t see and understand what is happening

One particular day, when Jesus was walking in reverence & rejection, He told a parable about the Sower

It’s incredibly important parable for the Christian.
It’s not the parable but the problem we want to look at today.

We all know how this parable goes about the Sower sowing seed.
He’s revealing the importance of the heart & power of the seed.

Never forget,  its God’s power & gifts that work with our faith.

It’s what Jesus says after the parable we want us to see      Mt 13:10-17

There’s a connection between the eye, the hear, and the heart.
Jesus says this is what Isaiah was talking about                     Is 6:9-10

Let me tell you something.  Understanding is key to healing!

If you can’t see clearly, you can’t see completely.

There’s something you need to know.

If you can’t see clearly, you can’t see completely.

There are going to be some dirty roads and messing trips in life.

Take a moment to clean the glass.
Sure, you’ve got wipers but they don’t do the sides

What you need to know about this parable is...

By hearing we find faith                               Rom 10:17
By faith we have understanding                     Heb 11:3
By understanding we see                               Jn 3:3; 16-21; 1 Cor 2:12-16

When the enemy wants to hamper our vision, he hardens our heart

Ephesians 4:17-18; Jn 12:40; 2 Cor 4:4; 1 Jn 2:22

Keep the glass clean!

There are a lot of dirt roads and messy highways in life.

If you can’t see clearly, you won’t see completely.
Use your wipers but wash your windows

Jesus said that the pure in heart would see God                     Mt 5:8

We wash our windows when we work with God & His word.

Hearing brings faith that brings understanding that brings sight.
